Cary Smart Photography - Adults' & Children's Photographer - Undy, Monmouthshire:
Cary Smart is a professional photographer based in Undy, Monmouthshire, near Caldicot, Magor & Chepstow. Cary is a very busy mum and runs her own business and so needed a website to advertise her work and to be found in the search engines.
We took some time to design this site as Cary had a certain look in mind and so we didn't rush it until Cary was happy with the finished product. She now has a contemporary looking website that showcases her work, and there plenty of scope to grow in the future.
It's great that I sometimes get to work with local businesses, and to help small businesses make an impact on the web. |
P A Oxley - Antique Clocks & Barometers Dealer - Cherhill, Wiltshire:
Search Engine Optimisation - (SEO)
P A Oxley Antique Clocks is one of the best known and biggest antique clock dealers in the UK. Just one look at their stock and you will see the quality and experience they have, having been in business since 1971.
I didnt build this site, but for years they had been dissapointed with their results in Google etc, seeing it as a priority that they where at least on page 1 of Google for 'Antique Clocks', and this is where they kindly came to me for help, having been with many other big SEO companies.
Chris Oxley was very confident I could help him, and for 5 weeks I went through every page to get them as optimized as I could, and in the end Chris got exactly what he wanted and all the listings are still climbing. P A Oxley is now on the front page for most of his keywords, and the one they cherished the most which is 'Antique Clocks'.
Chris contacted me having noticed I have helped 2 other antique clock dealers to reach page 1 of Google, and with my continued support I hope to keep them all there. |

SFJ Designs - Interior, Fashion, Textile & Architectural Fabric Design - Edinburgh:
Sam Fenn-Johnston is a 2011 graduate who has already made a name for herself in her industry by winning the Dr. Oliver Award Winner for Highest Marks during Fourth Year and Best Studentship, and also the London New Designers Harlequin Award 2011.
Sam is very ambitious and very talented and also knows the importance of good PR and giving herself the best opportunity to showcase her work. That is why Sam contacted me to help her with the first phase of her website. Sam's website at the moment is just one page that contains all her details, her skills and her qualifications, and Sam used it when presenting herself at shows around the country.
The site has a good level of SEO even though it's only one page, looks just how Sam wanted it, and there is plenty of scope for it to grow in the future. Good luck Sam. |
Black Ink Masterprints Art Gallery - Stow-On-The-Wold:
This is Black Ink Masterprints second design, the first one I did had become dated and so I was really happy when David asked me to re-design it for him.
This time we have made everything bigger, less cluttered and given it a more contemporary modern feel, similar in style to the very famous art galleries around the world.
We stuck with the same CMS, and just re-organised the content, and gave the viewer a much easier way of moving around the site and seeing all the art.
The site has had a major SEO overhal too, and so David and I are very confident that the new design, the SEO work and new art collection will make a big difference on his sales figures.

Orchard View Holiday Home - Kellaton, South Devon:
Anthony and his partner Sarah contacted me to develop them a website for their holiday home in Kellaton, South Devon. The site had to be clean, modern, precise, easy to navigate and view the information, and also do well in the search engines.
To start with Anthony had put down exactly what design he wanted on a pdf, and had all the text and images prepared, which made a massive difference in the time scale the site was developed.
Anthony & Sarah seem very pleased with what they got, as it was exactly what they wanted, and the continual support from me on SEO and link building is starting to pay off with good listings in Google etc.

W.F. Bruce Antique Clocks & Barometers - Lewes, East Sussex:
Search Engine Optimisation - (SEO)
I didn't design this website, but I was asked to help the site do well in the search engines.
Fergus Bruce contacted me after seeing that I have already helped 2 other antique clock dealers get onto page 1 of google for the keywords 'Antique Clocks', and Fergus asked if I could do the same for them.
This database driven website had some unique issues to overcome, but after a couple of weeks toil, I managed to get all the important keywords into the important areas of the page, and also made the site W3C complient for extra brownie points.
I am now fully supporting the website, and will make sure that the site keeps on climbing the search engines, and returns with more business, and visitors for their antique clock & barometer business.

Wye Pursits Outdoor Adventure - Guy Smith, Ross-On-Wye:
Guy and his wife Sonie fancied a website upgrade, as the last site had run its course. So we got together a while back and we re-designed the site from top to bottom and we are very, very pleased with the way it has turned out. New images, new logo, new colours, new wording, new branding, new everything and if you take a look for yourself, you will have to agree its a good website.
Wye Pursuits is an Outdoor Adventure centre based on the River Wye, and the website is very much in keeping with the extreme sports, adventure style you see with most of the outdoor clothing brands on the net. The site is doing very well in the search engines, and we are all confident that the new site will make an even bigger impression on potential customers.

Dan Kembery is the son of my very first client, Paul Kembery. Dan is learning the antique ropes from his father, and wanted a website like his fathers as he understands the importance of a website that looks great, works in the search engines, and is easy to navigate for his customers.
Dan's new site is easy to look at, easy to navigate and displays his stock very clearly, and Dan like his father is able to maintain the website himself. The site is already doing well in the search engines, and I hope he will get the same number of sales from it, as his father as his.

Bunchillie Persians - Bunny Wheelwright, Earlswood, Solihull:
Bunny Wheelwright and her husband Charlie are once again good friends of ours, and we always keep in contact by email or catch up at shows. They are persian cat breeders of the highest quality, and have produced some of the best persians in their classes.
Bunny had a previous website which wasn't working too good in the search engines, and was also having trouble with the maintenance side of things. Bunny approached me with a good idea of what she wanted, and it seems to have worked, as she is very happy, and has had good feedback, which is great for both of us.
|
Alix Nichols Purple Pearl Persians - South Staffordshire:
Alix Nichols is a young cat breeder from S.Staffordshire, and was able to find me by using Google, and from our initial conversation, asked me to do her a special website for the lovely cats.
Alix's website is a bespoke design, like every other, and showcases her cats beautifully with full descriptions and large pictures. Alix asked me to use a certain font type and was clear on her choice of colors, but left the design to me.
I'm happy to say that Alix loves her websites, and said "Just looked at the website - it's really posh and I love it". Thats great for me, as word of mouth is my best marketing tool.
|
Bethania Church - Treharris, Nelson:
Bethania Church in Treharris is run by Stephen Marshall who is a family friend, and he asked me kindly to help the church with their marketing, to make more people aware of the church in their area.
I was more than happy to help as their original site hardly showed up in the search engines, and wasnt having the impact they needed. The new site is now fully search engine friendly, and has added extras for all their visitors.

Their ethics are much the same as mine, and they have achieved a huge amount in such a short space of time, already competing with 'Amazon, Argos, Play, The Entertainer and many others' on a number of products.
Great care has been taken in designing the look and feel of the site and the logo will eventually become a brand of its own, and with the fantastic stock, excellent customer service, and a positive team behind them, they are destined for bigger things. |
The Blue Persian Cat Society - Monmouth:
My partner was the lead to this website, as she has Persian cats and is friends with members of the BPCS. The society wanted to be able to offer a point of information for other blue persian owners, that could view and print off schedules and entry forms for shows and other events.

Bluebelle Nursery in Portskewett as you will see from the website is a fantastic environment for pre-school children, and I should know as our children went there, and every parent who's child has gone there will say exactly the same. Allan Smith is very well known world wide and is a very respected Antique Longcase Clock dealer. The quality of the clocks he sells are second to none, and he wanted a website that was highly visual and could be easily updated.
The website contains all of Allans current collection, and also all of Allans archive clocks, and each clock comes with a lot of information and detail which is important to any potential customer. Each clock entered into the database, has a minimum of three images, and each image can be selected to be view in more detail. |
The Stagecoach Agency - Ross on Wye:
Trevor at The Stagecoach Agency contacted me to seek some advice as to how to bring a certain part of his website to life, whilst not taking to much attention away from the text.
We discussed a few ideas, including Flash Video and Multimedia that would catch the attention and compliment the content. The animated header on this page was made using Flash, and can also be seen as an introduction on his promotional CD-ROM's, and to accompany it I integrated the video into his website, which has a massive impact! |

Grace is another friend who I met at the Blue Persian Cat Society meeting. Grace breeds blue persian cats, and has been breading, showing and judging for years, and is very experienced.

message on the home page. |
High Quality Video For The Web - Caldicot:
Caldicot Castle Entertainments asked Accend to continually keep their
website at the front end of web development, and high quality video
was in my opinion the next big step in keeping their site above their
competitors.
We spent a long time planning this project, and what we delivered
in the end is an excellent video player with added extras such as
navigable bookmarks and XML driven captions which offers good accessibility,
and a high level of usability following good web development practice. |

purchase this excellent educational/safety fire-fighter album.

the videos that already there, using Flash and QT. |
